August Breeze

Memories of a summer day,

chasing colder winds away

 

Lasting treasures so defined,

lace the corners of my mind

 

Zephyrs of a distant past,

breath unto my soul’s repast

 

Every hope and wish redeemed

—melting fast this winter freeze
