Are you willing to shoulder
the burden that was left
by those no longer heard
To write those things
they never wrote
inspired by their every word
To take that next step
they never took
to reach beyond their grasp
Clearing the way for those unborn
to pick up the mantle
— embracing the past
(The New Room: March, 2024)
Egos
not armies
destroy the Crown
Arrogance
reletting
the blood
The Emperor
naked
upon its back
Odysseus
in
— from the wood
(Dreamsleep: March, 2024)
Stars reflect
the light inside you
Their galaxy
our soul’s domain
New constellations
wait unchristened
To burn inside
— each heart to name
(Dreamsleep: March, 2024)
Embrace
the moment
forever alive
Hell
freezing over
— damnation proscribed
(Dreamsleep: March, 2024)
Sea change
written
— on the face of denial
(Dreamsleep: March, 2024)
Callous rows gone fallow
human touch embraced
Hate uprooted — Love replanted
tilled in Heaven’s grace
(Dreamdleep: February, 2024)
I’m tired of people
slinging hash
and calling it Haute Cuisine
The Emperor naked
behind the mirror
where truth still reigns supreme
Waiting for accolades
pity more apt
so they again can void
Leaving their excrement
out on display
— only the rats to enjoy
(The New Room: March, 2024)
Psychopath
Sociopath
Neuropath’s
remind
Every ‘path’
an open route
locked inside
our minds
Empathy
Antipathy
Pathological
liars
Waiting there
to mark the way
as circumstance
— requires
(The New Room: March, 2024)
Your wounds bleed past tomorrow
an inconvenient truth
Unsutured blame — till death reclaims
its healing absolute
(Dreamsleep: March, 2024)
Dying
the most private thing
anyone can do
Goodbye
said a final time
exit sign in view
Living
so attached to death
symbiotic twins
Leaving
with your soul alive
— blessed to rebegin
(Dreamleep: March, 2024)
